Special business visas for SAARC nations to invest in India

The Indian Government has equipped its immigration authorities to issue multi city, multiple entry business visa to businessmen of SAARC nations, which includes the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, starting from the 1st of April this year, 2016. SAARC stands for the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation, which includes India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Afghanistan. Officials of the Home Ministry stated that the cards would be unenvied next month, which around 4,000 to 5,000 cards to be issued to entrepreneurs from all SAARC countries.

The business visa, to be referred to as the 'India Business Card' is predicted to be granted for up to 5 years or less, as per the necessity. There will be some special conditions for businessmen from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. However, no visa conditions will apply to citizens of other countries. Nationals from the country of Bhutan and Nepal don't need a visa to enter Republic of India.

Pakistani investors should run an enterprise value of 1 crore Indian rupees. They additionally, should have an annual income of a minimum amount of 10 lakh Pakistani Rupees, for a three year multiple entry visa. Also, the citizen should to be a member of any Chamber of Commerce in Islamic Republic of Pakistan, which is recognized by Republic of India. Currently, they're eligible for grant of multiple entry business visas for the maximum period of 1 year and are allowed to travel to only 10 cities. Under the new theme, Pakistani investors are exempted from reporting at the local police headquarters.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had, throughout the SAARC summit in Kathmandu in 2014, proclaimed business visas with 3-5 years' validity for voters, which the Indian Government has held true to.
