Canada remains the most popular country for migrate overseas.

With a streamlined immigration process and friendly welcoming policies, Canada leads among the Top-10 most-accepting countries for migrants.

Regular draws – both federal as well as provincial – have continued to be held despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Canadian immigration target for 2021 is set at 401,000 newcomers. Of these, 105,800 are to gain their Canada PR through the Express Entry system.

Another 47,500 are expected to take up permanent residence in Canada as provincial nominees via the Provincial Nominee Program [PNP] route.

[I] Federal Draws in April 2021

A total of 5 federal Express Entry draws were held this month.

While no all-program Express Entry draws were held, the federal draws held this month alternated between inviting provincial nominees and those with Canadian experience.

By the term “provincial nominees” is implied those with a nomination through any of the provincial or territorial governments [PT] under the Provincial Nominee Program [PNP].

Those with Canadian experience, on the other hand, are those eligible for the Express Entry’s Canadian Experience Class [CEC].

[II] Provincial Draws in April 2021

With nearly 80 Canada immigration pathways or ‘streams’ available, Canadian PNP offers a diverse range in options for those interested in taking up Canadian PR, while settling within a specific province or territory in Canada.

600 CRS points are automatically added to the ranking score of an Express Entry candidate that is able to secure a PNP nomination through any of the Express Entry linked PNP streams.

A PNP nomination is, therefore, regarded to offer an expedited pathway to Canadian permanent residence to an individual.

A provincial nomination is a guarantee of that Express Entry candidate receiving an invitation to apply in the next federal draw to be held.

It is the highest-ranked, as per the Comprehensive Ranking System or the CRS, that are issued Invitations to Apply [ITAs] by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada [IRCC] in the federal draws that are held from time to time.
