Fraud Prevention Month launched by IRCC

IRCC - Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada is devoting the month of March to create awareness regarding risks of scams and frauds. This drive is a part of the efforts by the government to carry out a comprehensive awareness campaign on this issue.

Ahmed Hussen the Immigration Minister of Canada said that IRCC will vary out several activities to promote awareness of issues such as fraudulent websites and immigration scams. It will also focus on the choice of immigration consultants or citizenship consultants by the immigrant applicants, as quoted by the CIC News.

The Immigration Minister of Canada elaborated that March is an important month to spread awareness regarding immigration aspects. It is an opportunity for everyone to update ourselves regarding several ways in which one can safeguard against scams and frauds with regard to immigration and citizenship, he said.
