Gave your IELTS with the British Council? Get your TRF online!

Get and share your IELTS scores through the online registration portal of the British Council. Due to the service restrictions and limitations caused by the ongoing COVID-19 special measures in various countries across the world, educational institutions are adapting themselves to accommodate the changes in the best possible manner.

Standardized tests are also undergoing specific changes. Facing a delay in releasing the IELTS score results in the usual manner via traditional post, the British Council is now uploading the scores to the online registration portal.

All those that have appeared for the tests, can now review their results online and share the same, as required.

Usually, the Test Form Report [TRF] is printed around 13 days after the day of the test.

However, because of the current situation, the British Council is sending the TRFs in a slightly different way. A candidate that has appeared for the IELTS with the British Council will be receiving an email containing their unique TRF number. The candidate will be expected to log in for verification.

Details, along with a how-to guide, will be emailed to the candidates.

Do keep in mind that your TRF number and the corresponding email might be delayed.

If you don’t hear from the British Council within 5 days of expecting to get your TRF, do contact your test center directly.

The TRF number can be passed on to a Recognising Authority, who will also be able to view the result.

If you require your IELTS scores to be shared with a different organization, you will have to email the British Council for the same. The British Council will send a message directly to the organization on your behalf.

TRFs will be produced and sent to the candidates in the usual way once the situation is under control, and the British Council can operate adequately.
