Step 1: Find an employer in Italy

The Italy-based employer who has offered the job role is required to apply for the work permit on the candidate's behalf in the immigration office in their respective province of Italy.

Step 2: Submit the required documents

After the authorities have granted the work permit, the employer can notify the candidate to apply for the work visa. They also have to inform the embassy of Italy about the same.

Step 3: Provide other details

The candidate must download the form for visa application and duly fill it out. Attach all the other required documents and submit it to the embassy.

Step 4: Apply for a work permit of Italy

The Italian authorities will be processing the request of the candidate. After the visa has been granted, the candidate must obtain the visa from the consulate within 6 months to enter Italy.

Step 5: Obtain the resident permit

After entering Italy, the candidate is required to apply for a residence permit to facilitate their stay in Italy. The permit is known as permesso di soggiorno. It is available at all the local Italian post offices.
