  1. Application Deadlines

The USA has several rounds of application, unlike other countries. These are given below:

  • The Early Decision Round

The Early Decision Round is the one where the student selects a certain college and applies for the college. In the process of application, the student is required to sign a contract of ED or Early Decision with the college. The contract is an assurance that if they get accepted into that college, they would withdraw all the other applications and only attend that specific college.

The round of Early Decision increases the probability of acceptance into the desired college.

In the Early Action Round, the students can apply to several colleges they have a keen interest in. It gives them an advantage in the application process. If they are accepted in the schools they have applied for, they need not withdraw their applications from other schools.

The round of Early Action comes across as a viable and appealing in all aspects of student-college evaluation. The Early Action is offered only by a few Universities, such as Agnes Scott College, Tulane University, and the like.

In this round, all the applicants are evaluated on the same set of parameters and judged using the same criteria. The results of the Regular Decision round are generally published between the 2nd week of March and till the 1st week of April.
