Canada Express Entry CRS score

Canada Express Entry is the most organized and hassle-free immigration system in the world. It is points based immigration process. Six selection factors decide what will be the point score of an applicant. This, in turn, will determine whether an invitation will be sent to that applicant for the Visa.

Let’s see which selection factor can help applicants raise their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.

The 6 selection factors:

The 6 main selection factors that decide an applicant’s CRS score are:

  • Age
  • Education
  • Adaptability
  • Employment offer
  • Work Experience
  • Language Ability

Now, let’s have a look at all of these factors in order to find out which can improve the overall CRS score.

  • Age- The age factor is beyond one’s control. Hence there is no way they can work on it
  • Education- Education can be always upgraded. However, it takes years to get a degree and earn points based on it. So here, as well, one cannot do much
  • Adaptability- an applicant can only earn points in this factor if they or their spouse share any past connection with Canada. Hence, this is also something you cannot work on
  • Work Experience- Work experience cannot be obtained overnight. One spends years of their life to gain some experience in a skill or job
  • Employment offer- It is not the easiest things to receive an employment offer from a Canadian employer. Also, no compulsory job offer requirement makes the Express Entry popular in Canada. Hence, it is not advisable to prefer this factor
  • Language Ability- This is one factor which can be worked on. One should enhance this ability to increase their Express Entry CRS score

Language Ability Factor can help you ace the Express entry system

An applicant should try to better their IELTS score in all four tasks -listening, speaking, reading and writing. They will be awarded an additional CRS score for the same.

In addition, an applicant can earn up to 30 points for their French Language skills. They can also get 20 additional points for official language proficiency of their Spouse.

However, one can achieve maximum points only through provincial nomination. No selection factor can get an applicant the same level of points, as quoted by the Times of India.
