Getting a study permit

To pursue education in Canada, international students need a study permit. You would need a letter of acceptance from your learning institution in Canada to apply for the study permit. An interview by a consular official in your country, a medical exam, and a police certificate is also required.

The approval of a study permit in Canada requires proof that you have enough funds to live in the country. That amount is at least $10,000 besides your tuition. If you bring dependents and/or study in Quebec, there would be additional expenses.
