MP to give Study Overseas Scholarships worth $ 80,000

The Government of Madhya Pradesh will offer Study Overseas Scholarships worth $ 80,000 each to 20 meritorious students annually. The scholarship will be given for pursuing Post Graduate and Research course of 2 years in overseas nations. $ 40,000 will be given per year.

 

$ 38,000 will be given every year in the form of Study Overseas Scholarships. $ 2,000 will be given for necessary equipment, books, and typing and binding materials for research. Other expenses are also covered under this.

 

The State Government has decided to implement the Study Overseas Scholarships from this academic year itself. The applicants must be UG or PG students with the domicile of Madhya Pradesh. They must have also secured 75% plus marks to apply for the scholarships.

 

The age limit for the applicants has been set at 25 years for PG students and 35 years for Research degree students. The total yearly income of the applicants’ husband/wife, parents or guardians must not exceed 5 lakh from all the sources.

 

The applicants are also required to mandatorily qualify IELTS, TOEFL, GMAT or GRE as applicable. The shortlisted merit students will be selected by the Selection Committee based on an interview.

 

Applicants can pursue overseas education in recognized institutions of nations. These must possess diplomatic ties with the Indian Government.

 

The appropriate Student Visas of the chosen nation must be obtained by the students themselves. The Visa must state clearly that it has been obtained by the student specifically for study abroad.

 

Study Overseas Scholarships will be released only on the basis of appropriate Student Visa, as quoted by the Hitavada.
