My journey as a Marketing Manager from India to Canada

I was the only child of my doctor parents. Brought up in a household with two doctors, the aspiration of becoming one came naturally to me. I don't even remember a single day; I did not dream of becoming a doctor. Both my parents are very successful in life, and after working immensely hard in a government hospital for 15 years, they finally built their own nursing home. Seeing my parents' struggle, I became very clear from a young age that big things don't come quickly. And, if I want to become a successful doctor, I will have to walk out of my comfort zone.

One of my aunts is a practicing doctor in Canada, and I remember her saying that Canada has an excellent healthcare system. She says there are many opportunities in the healthcare sector in Canada. This is why I always knew that I would have to go to Canada and settle there. It has become a dream country for me.

I completed my primary education and started preparing for my medical exams. But destiny had a different plan for me, and I met with a severe road accident a day before my medical exam, and the following year I couldn't clear the exam. I wanted to save time on this, and so did my parents. I enrolled in a hospital management course, which would still let me be in the healthcare industry.

And I completed the course with flying colors and was immediately placed as a Marketing Manager in one of the country's largest hospitals. After working there for three years, I got a chance to work with a leading global hospital chain. And after gaining a good seven years of experience in the industry, I now wanted to go to my dream country, and there came Y-Axis into my life. Now, I will tell you about my positive experience with the company and how it helped me achieve my dreams.

Express Entry: Way to enter Canada

The Express Entry system was introduced by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) in 2015. The primary motive of the Express Entry system is to fill the labour shortages in the country.

And, Y-Axis assisted me in many ways like:

  • Eligibility Check: Y-Axis has a free and instant immigration points calculator for Canada, and I scored 65 points on it.
  • Resume preparation: I wanted to move to Saskatchewan, Canada, as my colleague has a reference at a giant pharmaceutical company. And Y-Axis helped me prepare a good resume for that.
  • IELTS coaching: Y-Axis suggested I be safer and score well in IELTS. IELTS professionals taught me well, and it was only because of them that I qualified in the Express Entry system. I didn't want to take any risks and started taking their IELTS coaching.
  • ECA report: Educational credential assessment service is also being provided by the team to Y-Axis so that Express Entry can be smooth.
  • Job Search: Y-Axis also assists in searching for a job, and they worked hard to find me the Marketing Manager Job in that specific hospital. The Y-Axis team was in constant connection with the recruitment team there and didn't stop until I received an offer letter from the company in Saskatchewan, Canada.
  • Visa Interview: Y-Axis team didn't stop there; they even helped me to prepare for the visa interview, and it was because of them that I could pass the interview.

Invitation to Apply

I couldn't be a doctor, but I am a good marketing manager who has helped many hospitals grow by now. I have inherited all of it from my parents, which has contributed to maintaining a great Express Entry profile. And being a marketing manager in the healthcare sector is challenging as you must adhere to ethics and the company's growth prospects.

I finally received my Invitation to Apply from IRCC, and all thanks to my wonderful family for supporting me in every life decision.

Applying for Canada PR

Y-Axis has been there throughout my journey as marketing manager from India to Canada. They even had a service where they prepared a checklist for all my documents, and it was through their help I could submit them in time to the IRCC.

In Saskatchewan, Canada

I boarded the first flight of the day to Canada. After completing the application processing, the entire migration to Canada took me six months. I was too excited to move to my dream country, and this migration will be written in golden characters in the story of my life.

I am now living in Saskatchewan, Canada, working with one of the world's best companies. The people here are amiable, and I don't even feel I have come from a distant country across the seven seas. I have even rented a big apartment, and my parents plan to visit me here soon. Finally, I have done something good out of their love for me, even with their busiest work schedules.
