My journey as a Marketing Manager from India to Canada

I was the only child of my doctor parents. Brought up in a household with two doctors, the aspiration of becoming one came naturally to me. I don't even remember a single day; I did not dream of becoming a doctor. Both my parents are very successful in life, and after working immensely hard in a government hospital for 15 years, they finally built their own nursing home. Seeing my parents' struggle, I became very clear from a young age that big things don't come quickly. And, if I want to become a successful doctor, I will have to walk out of my comfort zone.

One of my aunts is a practicing doctor in Canada, and I remember her saying that Canada has an excellent healthcare system. She says there are many opportunities in the healthcare sector in Canada. This is why I always knew that I would have to go to Canada and settle there. It has become a dream country for me.

I completed my primary education and started preparing for my medical exams. But destiny had a different plan for me, and I met with a severe road accident a day before my medical exam, and the following year I couldn't clear the exam. I wanted to save time on this, and so did my parents. I enrolled in a hospital management course, which would still let me be in the healthcare industry.

And I completed the course with flying colors and was immediately placed as a Marketing Manager in one of the country's largest hospitals. After working there for three years, I got a chance to work with a leading global hospital chain. And after gaining a good seven years of experience in the industry, I now wanted to go to my dream country, and there came Y-Axis into my life.
