The requirements of Australia Study Visa

Overseas Students will require the Student Visa to Study in Australia. It is their responsibility to ensure that an authentic passport and Australia Study Visa is maintained by them. This is for their entire duration of stay in Australia.
The Department of Homer Affairs accepts online applications for Australia Study visa. All overseas students must apply for the Subclass 500 Student Visa. They must also enroll in a course registered with CRICOS. (Commonwealth Register of Institutions and courses for Overseas for Overseas Students).
The Student Visa applications will be assessed by DHA for a wide range of criteria. These have been specified in its tool for document checklist. Overseas students must lodge their visa application with all the required documents. This is because it will decrease the processing time for the application. Failure to do so can lead to delays in processing or even denial of the visa, as quoted by the Latrobe Edu Au. It is recommended that the visa application is lodged 3 months prior to the travel date. It could also be done 3 months prior to the expiry of the current study visa.
Below are the requirements that need to be fulfilled by the applicants of Australia Study Visa:
- COE – enrolment confirmation
- GTE – authentic temporary entrant
- Monetary requirements
- Minimum specified proficiency in the English language
- Health requirement as specified by DHA
- Character requirement as specified by DHA
- OSHC – Health cover for overseas student
- Cost of the amount required for annual living
The current fee for Subclass 500 Student Visa is 575 $. It must be noted that the price may differ depending upon the destination of application – offshore or onshore.
