It has also conducted a survey on 40,000 scholars from across the globe.

The Times Rankings has named the United Kingdom's University of Oxford as the world's best university. The university has consecutively held the first position for the last seven years. Harvard University has retained its position as the World's Second Best University. The University of Cambridge steps up to joint third this year compared to joint fifth last year.
