Despite the restrictive immigration policies being gradually adopted by the Trump administration, the US still stands tall among the leading global destinations for study overseas.

The US has 4 universities featured among the Top 5 on QS World University Rankings 2020Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) (at Rank 1), Stanford University (at Rank 2), Harvard University (at Rank 3), and California Institute of Technology (Caltech) (at Rank 5).

Rank 4 on QS World University Rankings 2020 is occupied by the UK’s University of Oxford.

The Top 3 in 2019 – MIT, Standford, and Harvard – have retained their individual rankings of 2019.

Oxford University, on the other hand, has moved up 1 place from Rank 5 in 2019 to Rank 4 in 2020. Oxford University displaces Caltech from its Rank 4 in 2019 to Rank 5 in 2020.

Regardless of various miscellaneous factors at play, in all probability, the US will continue to retain its leadership in global higher education in the years to come.
