1. You are applying for a Masters course in Germany
2. You have already received an unconditional admission letter from a University in Germany

Certain students would be able to submit their German National Visa application directly at VFS Global Chennai or Hyderabad. This will help these students skip the wait time for an interview appointment at the German Mission.

• Post-doctoral students
• Scholarship holders
• Bachelor students who have a TestAS-Certificate scoring 100 or more points in the core exam

Students from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Puducherry come under the jurisdiction of Germany Consulate General Chennai. Students from these areas who have an unconditional, binding admission letter from a German University may submit their applications at VFS Chennai. This includes students pursuing Masters, Doctoral and Post-doctoral courses.

However, it is important to note that the applications will still be processed by the German Mission itself.

In case your documentation is unclear or for additional information, you may still have to appear for a visa interview at the German Mission.
