Employees who complete six months in an organization are eligible to get 2 paid leaves per month for their first year. After completing the first year, they will get 30 days of paid leaves per year.

Maternity leave of at least 60 days

A pregnant woman in UAE has the benefit of getting 60 paid maternity leaves after six months of pregnancy is completed. Out of these 60 days, employees will get full salary for 45-day leaves and half pay for remaining days. A female employee can also take additional leaves of 45 days but they will be unpaid.

Holiday leave

Public holidays in the UAE that employees get in a year are as follows:

• Gregorian New Year: 1st January
• Eid Al Fitr: From 29th day of Ramadhan to 3rd Shawwal*
• Arafah Day: Dhu Al Hijjah 9th
• Eid Al Adha; From 10 to 12 of Dhu Al Hijjah (Feast of Sacrifice)
• Hijri New Year: 1 Muharram *
• The Prophets Mohammed’s birthday; 12th of Rabi al Awwal
• Commemoration day: 1st December
• National Day: 2nd and 3rd December
