Reasons to accept Duolingo scores

Many schools, institutions, and universities are still experimenting with Duolingo as a workable English assessment tool that provides better options and benefits for international students and universities. The online features provided and available on the Duolingo website help the universities keep track of the student’s test scores. Therefore the universities can easily evaluate a candidate based on the scores with lesser effort.

The students willing to take the test on Duolingo must visit the website and register for the English test. The university evaluates the students speaking skills and writing samples along with video interviews. Duolingo provides a quick picture of the student’s English excellence.

Duolingo Test sections

The Duolingo Test comprises three stages:

  • Basic setup test
  • Log in to take the test through the Duolingo platform that advises you with instructions for the actual test and a mock test to try.
  • After accepting the terms and conditions, the actual test starts. The test includes reading, speaking, writing, and listening skills. After finishing all these sections, a final round of video interviews of around 10 minutes and a written test on a topic is given, which needs to be attempted.

Make sure you have proper lighting that is falling on your face while doing the video interview. After completing all the sections, you will get the Duolingo scores in 48 hours. These scores range from 10 to 160, with separate scores for each section. The minimum score varies between universities and the study program you select.
